I’ve been working with Kate at She Can Run Coaching for nearly 12 months now. My main goal was to run 10km stronger faster and injury free.
Over the past few years I’d been plagued by injuries, if it was a sprained knee ligament, it was a hamstring pull or calf pains. I explained all of this to Kate, along with my lifestyle and she devised a running and strength training plan for me.
At the start, I wanted to be able to run a 10km faster than I had the previous year. I smashed that goal in March, by a massive 5 minutes.
Since then I’ve continued to consistently run and strength train, and have beaten my overall 10km and 5km times. I’ve set a new PB in every race this year!
I’m now running 10km sub 60 minutes for the first time since I took up running properly when I turned 50.
I’ve never felt so strong. Loving it!
